Some safety announcements first. With the nights now starting to draw in it’s time to dig out those high viz vests for club training sessions. The club also have plenty of ID tags that can be attached to running shoes. Please grab a card, add your emergency contact details and attach to shoe.

Is it time to try a new Monday night running group? Group 3 is becoming quite large so if you’re very comfortable running in this group perhaps it’s time to move up a level?  Those in group 2 may also like to try running in group 1. Whatever group you join you’ll be well looked after and the run leader will ensure ‘loop backs’ so everybody stays together. Have a word with the run leader beforehand if you fancy a change.

There are still a number of volunteer posts to fill. Somebody to organise a few socials, an individual to manage club kit and somebody to manage Tuesday Yate track sessions. Let the club secretary know if interested at secretary@westburyharriers.co.uk

Dan Summers is going to organise some night running taster sessions in November and December. More details will appear on Facebook in the near future.

If you have a GPS watch it is worth joining Strava, adds some interest to running. There’s also a club section within the site, useful if you need some ideas for different routes or want to gauge the pace of the Monday evening groups.
