Membership
There are many benefits to joining Westbury Harriers. All of the information about different types of membership, our training sessions and the costs involved can be found here.
Membership; and the various types
We are often asked what the different membership options are and this short guide will hopefully help you understand the options and choose which is best for you!
Please note; that certain membership tpyes require approval and you can only complete the membership application when approval has been given.

Senior Membership:
This membership is for adults aged 18 and over who want to train or compete with the club. You will be registered as an athlete with England Athletics for one year (each year runs from 1st April until 31st March).
Those aged 18 or over and in full time education are eligible, subject to proof, for Student Membership

Junior / Student Membership:
This membership is for junior athletes who are in School Year 7 or over, or students in full time education who want to train or compete with the club. You will be registered as an athlete with England Athletics for one year (each year runs from 1st April until 31st March) and fees for Gwent League cross country events is included in your membership. Students will be asked for proof of eligibility.
Students Away from Home Membership:
This membership is for adults aged 18 and over who want to train or compete with the club. You will be registered as an athlete with England Athletics for one year (each year runs from 1st April until 31st March).
Those aged 18 or over and in full time education are eligible, subject to proof, for Student membership.
2nd Claim Membership:
This membership is for athletes who are already members of another England Athletics registered club and who want to retain that membership but also be able to train with Westbury Harriers. You will be registered as a second claim athlete with England Athletics for one year (each year runs from 1st April until 31st March).
Please note that your first claim membership must be with a Club that is affiliated with England Athletics and that you are yourself affiliated as an athlete. If you are a member of a club that is not affiliated with England Athletics, you should join as a Senior member.
Volunteer Membership:
The club is run by volunteers and everyone recognises and appreciates the commitment of our volunteers. If you do not yourself run but are helping out, this membership is for you. You will be a club member but will not have England Athletics affiliation or be able to run as a member of Westbury Harriers or Yate and District AC.
Yate & District AC Associate Membership:
This
membership is for members of Yate and District AC who also wish to train with,
or compete for Westbury Harriers. When joining as an Associate member, which is
free of charge, you will need to complete a document to ensure that you are
affiliated with England Athletics as a member of both Westbury Harriers and
Yate and District AC.
