By joining Westbury Harriers, you are able to join our partner Club, Yate & District Athletic Club, for free, which will then allow you to take part in track (and field) events during the summer months. Senior athletes are encouraged to come along to our Tuesday or Thursday evening sessions out at Yate track (Y.O.S.C, 7pm once normal service can resume) for a training session and to meet our opposite numbers.

There are track sessions for both senior and junior athletes, from the age of 11. These are led by familiar faces such as Pat Gallagher, Neil Miller and Mike Mewse on a Tuesday, and Jason Michael on a Thursday.  If your track and field ambitions lie shorter than 800m, or even involve throwing something, then we can introduce you to a more appropriate coach.

To compete for Yate, you will need to:

  1. Apply to join Yate and District AC via their website (selecting Westbury Harriers associate membership) AND
  2. Complete an other discipline form here and return it to membership@westburyharriers.co.uk

When Westbury Harriers and Yate and District AC went into partnership in April 1997, we were one of the first clubs in the country to do so.  The partnership has improved the competitive strengths and opportunities of both clubs, while at the same time bringing the skills and energy of our many volunteers and coaches to a broader catchment.
