By joining Westbury Harriers, you can compete on the track (and in the field, if you want) for Yate & District Athletic Club for free.  While there is a little paperwork to make sure that Yate can properly enter you into competitions, the first step for many is to simply come along to our Tuesday or Thursday evening sessions out at Yate track (Y.O.S.C., 7pm once normal service can resume) for a training session and to meet our opposite numbers.

These track sessions are open to anyone over 11, and are lead by familiar faces such as Pat Gallagher, Neil Miller and Mike Mewse on a Tuesday, and Jason Michael on a Thursday.  If your track and field ambitions lie shorter than 800m, or even involve throwing something, then we can introduce you to a more appropriate coach.

To compete for Yate, all you need to do is complete an affiliation form with them followed by an additional discipline form, due to recent EA changes. You can find the membership form and other discipline form here. When selecting membership type make sure you click ‘Westbury Harriers Associate Member – free’!

When Westbury Harriers and Yate and District AC went into partnership in April 1997, we were one of the first clubs in the country to do so.  The partnership has improved the competitive strengths and opportunities of both clubs, while at the same time bringing the skills and energy of our many volunteers and coaches to a broader catchment.
