Member of the Month.
Senior– And our winner this month is……Katie Hughes. Katie just gets quicker and quicker with every race, what is your secret? Some very impressive results, including a massive PB at the recent Bristol 10k.
Katie has also worked tirelessly to improve the quality and selection of club kit. We now have a range of clothing, in different sizes, from club vests, hoodies and caps, to name just a few thanks to Katie’s efforts. Behind the scenes Katie has had to chase suppliers and then make kit available to club members.
Katie also provides a lot of support to the club. Either by competing in many events, cheering on fellow runners or leading the Monday training runs, making sure we’re all looked after.

Junior: This month our junior nomination goes to Miranda. Miranda may only be young, but is showing an awful lot of potential. Throughout the winter season she competed in numerous x-country events, in all weathers. A popular and cheerful club member, who just thoroughly enjoys her running. Well done on winning member of the month and do enjoy spending your vouchers.
Congratulations
To everyone who competed in Saturday’s Horse v Man. Over 20 miles of running on some very challenging terrain, including river crossings, mud, forest, moorland and a few mountains. Plus the odd horse or two to avoid colliding with.

Fact of the Week. During a race, the average marathon runner loses 1.25cm due to spine compression. Don’t panic though, over 24 hours later discs in the spine regain fluid and you’ll be back to normal hight! Source: BBC website
