London Marathon Club Draw. If you’ve been unsuccessful in getting a place for the 2019 London Marathon, the club has applied for club places and have two places from Westbury Harriers and one place kindly donated from Yate AC that have been allocated. The allocated places will follow previous years for the eligibility and rules for the draw are as follows:

– only fully paid-up members of Westbury Harriers and Yate AC are eligible.

– priority will go members who didn’t get a club place for the 2018 London Marathon and can prove that they applied again unsuccessfully this year.

– otherwise, priority goes to members who didn’t get a place this year.

To enter the club draw send an email with proof of your rejection (if applicable) to Mike Hopkins – secretary@westburyharriers.co.uk – see him at training  or message via Facebook. The draw will be made at training on Monday, December 10th.

Efforts Session. Last week, due to due the amount of rain, the fields were abandoned for a roads based efforts session. This involved hill repetitions on a quiet residential street. Therefore, please be prepared for another session on the road. If we are fortunate enough to use the Coombe Dingle field it will be a 2 set Medium Pyramid. This will consist of 1-2-3-2-1 minute efforts with half time recoveries and 90 seconds between sets.
