We had a record turnout of 140 athletes for the final Sweatshop Blaise Blazer of 2014 with a keenly contested team event taking place as well as the race for individual glory.
During the presentations after the race we made a few errors which we apologise for. The winners are:
Men – Jarlath McKenna, Scott Campbell, Pierre Moniere, Robin Phillips (V40), Thomas Guest (V50), Wilf Burke (V60)
Women – Evita Gonzalez Szamoki, Jane Colman (1st V40), Ellie Leather, Nancy Harding (V50)
The team event was won by Westbury Harriers despite Southville RC being announced winners on the night. Many thanks to Southville representatives who thought we’d made an error and unfortunately for them we had and they moved from 1st to 2nd place. It was great to see so many from Emersons Green turning out.
