Coombe Dingle pavilion was standing room only on Monday evening for the annual awards night. Club secretary Geraint compered in his best black tie, with former olympian Andy Graffin presenting medals, cups and plates to members to celebrate the year’s successes.
The event kicked off with a number of medals presented to young members. A truly inspiring atmosphere, with the next generation of athletes collecting their medals for the recent Gwent Cross-Country league. Senior members weren’t left out, with a number of awards for performance, sportsmanship and contribution to the club. A number of team successes were recognised at all ages and levels. Whilst a number of our athletes stood out for representing their country, others were equally rewarded for doing their bit to make the club tick-over.
Members enjoyed cake, chocolates and drinks as the proceedings gathered pace. A happy atmosphere of celebration and inspiration for all. The photos on the club website tell the real story in all their colour.
