Gwent League Ladies Results
Well done to all the ladies who ran in the Cardiff Gwent League last Sunday. A pleasant day, no mud and a course that we haven’t run on for years was enjoyed by all. A big ladies field of well over 200 ensured we were all worked with some very impressive sprint finishers.
Our team was led home with another fine run by Catherine Lee in 10th place, followed in by Lizzy Smith in 24th – having finally found another XC course that Lizzy likes except Bath! Great to see some new additions to our ladies squad of Victoria Sloan, Nicola Ness and Zoe Gould who all ran well and hopefully enjoyed themselves and will be back for more! Well done to Svetlana Jones for her highest placed Gwent League position to date.
Unfortunately we were missing a fair few of our A team runners and this has affected our team standings with us slipping down to 5th place. Our vets teams are still fairly well placed overall V35 3rd, V45 4th, V55 4th. But we want to do better – so make sure you have the next 3 fixtures in your diary and you are there as we have some work to do.
