Great Success at the South West Cross-Country Championsips

We had some great results in the South West Cross-Country Championships in Exeter on Sunday, including no fewer than three winners.  Dalis Jones won the under 13 girls race, leading her team to silver medals (Amelia Honor 9th, Molly Acton 34th, Ruby Saunders 36th, Abigail Woodworth 50th and Meghan Rose Porteus 59th).  Hannah Hobbs won the U17 women’s race, with Rosie Allen in 10th place, and at the other end of the age range, evergreen Mike Mewse on the Masters 60 event.

In the U15 boys race, Abdi Hasan narrowly lost out to English Schools Champion Harris Mier, but as with Dalis and Hannah, his second place should stand him in a good place when it comes to selection for the South West London Mini-Marathon team in April.  Abdi was backed up by Fred Stewart in 28th, and Johan Hobbs in 35th.

Seamus Robinson, running a year young, also finished in 10th place, in the U13 boys race.  Other results: U15G Isobel Smart 34, U17M Aidan Noble 32, U20M Joe Connors 15, M50 Ken Ham 8th, M40 Rich Noble 25th.
