Proposed change to the structure of fees for Westbury Harriers’ youngest members.
An Emergency General Meeting is taking place on Monday 22nd July 2019 at 8 p.m. at the Clubhouse, Blaise Castle. All members are invited to attend.
In order to continue the development of the club and support the growth and progress of the Reception Group (ages 8 to 11 inclusive), the Committee proposes to alter the way that club fees are paid.
The Reception Group operates during school term times only with training fees being paid on a half termly basis and the athletes’ annual club membership currently being paid in January. The Reception Group year, like the school year starts in September; it is proposed that from September 2019, all fees, including the termly fees and Club membership fees be paid each September.
Importantly, the proposed change will ensure that all Reception Group athletes are covered by the Club’s insurance and properly registered as Club athletes. It is believed that this proposal will also be of benefit to families, with a one off payment of £40 in September of each year, comprising a £10 Club membership fee and £30 in termly fees.
Where fees have been paid for the calendar year 2019, a payment of £27 will be requested to cover the period until 31st August 2020; athletes will, in this situation, not be required to renew their Club membership in January 2020 but would renew in September 2020 when paying the annual Reception Group fee.
