TRAINING RETURNS TO COOMBE DINGLE
A reminder that there will be no training on Bank Holiday Monday 31 August 2026.
The summer season at Blaise is over for another year, when training resumes on Monday 7 September all Senior groups will be back at Coombe Dingle.
Until the winter evenings close in we will still have plenty of opportunities to enjoy running through Blaise and Kings Weston from our Coombe Dingle base as well as areas such as the Downs which are not accessible during winter evenings.
We are dependent on our amazing team of volunteer Leaders and Coaches to put on all of our Senior sessions each week. We are always looking to recruit new people into the team. If you are interested in taking the Run Leaders course (Lirf) please speak to Mark Andrews or any of our Leaders. The course is straightforward and completed online. The Club reimburses the course fees upon completion.
UPCOMING BRISTOL RUNNING EVENTS – One for the calendar
Nations 5km launched
by Esmee Gummer
She’s taking a free 5k club to every city in the UK, arriving at each city on foot by running 5,000km to the 77 events over 99 days. She will be doing the Harbour loop with Bristol communities on Thurs 17th Sept at 7:30.
Black to the Trails – Sunday 11th October at Blaise Castle Estate
The UK’s most ethnically diverse trail running event is coming to Bristol in October, with 1k, 5k and 10k races (and kids go free!) Seema from WH and Black Trail Runners is on the organising team and is in charge of the route which is exciting! It would be great to see lots of WH members there.
