Avon 5k Road Relays
Avon 5K road relays take place Sunday 25th August at Cleeve cricket club. This is a great event right on our doorstep. Teams of 3 required in Ladies senior, FV35, FV45 & FV55. Let Eithne or Tamsin know if you are interested in taking part. Mike Mewse will also be taking names for the gents.

Bristol Inter Club 10K Championship The Towpath Mob Match 10K Friday 19th July 2019

Thank You to Great Western Runners (particularly their marshals out on the rain-soaked course) for hosting the race. It was a particularly wet evening with mud, flooded sections of the course and constant rain but it was still a great event and really good atmosphere. With over 300 runners from running clubs in the Bristol and surrounding area this was a high quality event with top class running throughout the field.
For Westbury Harriers it was a disappointing turnout – with only 14 runners – but well done to everyone who battled the conditions and produced some strong performances. Oli Beale brightened up the evening with another demonstration of top class running – our first runner home in 5th place. Hard to believe Oli is a V40 such is his great form at the moment. Vicky Tester was our first lady home in 77th place. It was great to see Club President Dave Perkins who braved the conditions to support the runners and help with the admin – much appreciated Dave.
Many congratulations to Southville Running Club who managed a magnificent turnout of 60 runners and to Bristol & West for their smaller, but very high quality team, who won the event comfortably.

Sri Chinmoy Relays Eastville park
Kay Ridgwell, Mary Fullerton & Eithne Noonan were the V50 ladies team winners in the Sri Chinmoy relays at Eastville Park on Tuesday 16th July. Well done.
