Congratulations.
Well done to everybody who ran in the first club championship event of the season, the horrifically horrendous ‘Hanham Horror’. It was extremely warm, which made it particularly hard going and those hills, just hideous! You really did need the rope of the final climb as it was almost vertical.
As soon as the results are available, I’ll stick something on Facebook.

And good luck to everybody in the club running the London Marathon next Sunday. I’ve just checked the forecast and it’s looking to be a lot cooler for next weekend, so better conditions for running. Also remember, take it easy this week and finish off those Easter eggs. After all, you’re building up energy reserves for the big day.

The club champ event is on the 10th July, registration is from 6:30pm and the race starts at 7:30pm. The race begins from Bitton Railway Station, although it is important to note that registration is at Oldland Abbotonians Football Club. You register on the night and it only costs £4 per race.
We start from the station and it’s a crazy dash along the flat and very fast Bristol to Bath cycle track for 2.5K. You then do a 180 degree turn and head back the way you’ve come. Just be aware of walkers and cyclists on the route.
