At the end of our summer training at Blaise Castle we chose to raise money from the gate money and cake sale for the Friends of Blaise.
Here’s their thank you note:

Dear Westbury Harriers
Thank you very much for your donation of £264.17. We are so pleased that your club and its members chose Friends of Blaise as their local charity to support this year – your donation is very much appreciated and needed.
Friends of Blaise are a small charity set up in 1980 when a group of interested parties got together as the Council of the day intended to pull the Castle down and preserve it as a ruin. As you will know from your runs in Blaise Estate, we were successful in saving the castle and have since supported the Council, lobbied when necessary and contributed financially to many projects on the Estate. We are always interested to hear your views and welcome new members.
