Following on from the winter cross country season the club is now looking to the summer races.
Two events we are targeting for the club vets / masters come (a bit close together) in May.
The British Masters Road Relay Championships will be held at Sutton Park, Birmingham on Saturday 20th May.
This event involves age group teams running in 3 mile road relay stages.
There are trophies and medals for the first three teams in each age group and the three fastest runners in each Championship.
Ladies races start at 10.30 and the last men’s race is at 2.00 p.m.
Age Groups and number of runners per team
Women 35+ (4 runners) 45+ (3) 55+ (3) 65+ (3)
Men 35+ (6) 45+ (4) 55+ (3) 65+ (3)
The club will enter the teams and pay entry fees. We will plan transport to suit runners.
We will be contacting runners to invite them to run but please volunteer if you would like to race.

The Avon County AAA 10k Championships will be held in Yate as part of the 10k Hogweed Trot on Monday 22nd May. The race starts at 7.00 p.m. The race HQ is at Yate Football Club.
There are team and individual championships for open and age groups for men and women – Under 18, 40+ 50+ 60+ .
