Well done to everyone who competed for the club at the Midlands Road Relay championships on Saturday.  The U15 boys were 3rd – a fantastic result from Greg Hayward 13:39, Abdi Hasan 12:57 (4th fastest time of the day) and Johan Hobbs 14:45.  The U15 girls (Emily Whitaker 15:40, Izzy Smart 16:12 and Rhiannon Paton 15:35) finished 5th, while the U17 women finished 12th; Rosie Allen posted the 10th fastest time of the day on first leg (15:01), backed up by Steph Cummins 15:49 and Phoebe Gould 17:47.  In the U13 girls we had 2 teams out, with Katie Howard15:41, Amelia Honor 17:30 and Ruby Saunders 16:34 finishing 13th, while Molly Acton 16:26, Abigail Woodworth 17:38 and Megham Porteus 17:49 came home in 25th place.

Our senior men had a virtual (all bar one) U23 team; Adam Wilson led the team out in 20:36, followed by team captain Scott Campbell in 19:59.  Joe Connors (20:39), Elliot Chard (23:05), Chris O’Donovan (22:10) and Alex Hamblin (21:08) brought the team home in 37th place, out of more than 125 team.

Some photos from the event are posted on the website; unfortunately, with multiple races running simultaneously, I missed many of the girls.
