A nationwide survey of park users is underway by a House of Commons select committee. It appears that Local Authorities have no statutory duty to maintain local parks, and in these days of cutbacks they are looking at other ways of funding their upkeep (e.g. by charging). This is an important matter for us (as for all park users).
