Fourteen-year-old Steph Cummins safely secured her place on the GB Biathle squad on Sunday 10 May in a qualifying meet at Millfield School, Somerset.
Steph was narrowly pipped to second place by the 15/16 age-group firm favourite, but nevertheless qualified comfortably to represent Great Britain at the European Championships in Portugal in July.
Fellow clubmate, Sophie Reed, also turned out a stunning performance in the same race, finishing strong after an excellent first run leg.
Biathle is a continuous run-swim-run competition – Steph and Sophie completed a 1K run, 200m swim, and another 1K run.
You can find more information about biathle on the Pentathlon GB website.
