Well done to the 50(?) Westbury Harriers in the field of just under 7500 who completed the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday. There were several first timers, and lots of PBs on a beautiful Autumn day perfect for running.
First Westbury man home was Oli Beale, finishing in 26th place with a time of 1:15:38. Lizzie Smith was first Westbury woman in 1:27:48. Very well done also to Chris O’Donovan, breaking 1:20 in his first ever HM, Jeni Stevenson who was 3rd VF45, and Clare Eskell who was 3rd VF50. And a superb run from Joshua Smith, with a massive PB of 1:30:26, only just turned 18 and finishing as the 2nd place U20 runner overall.
