With the appalling weather at the start of the week it was good to see Blaise Castle at its best for the first Blaise Blazer of 2015.
First home with a time of 22.56 was Oli Beale from Westbury Harriers. Oli is clearly in good form following his 34.31 run in the Bristol 10K. Alex Hamblin also continued his good form with second place with Alan Uren completing the podium positions.
The first vet home was vet 50 Mike Mcbeth of Southville Running Club in 7th position with first vet 40 Richard Noble of Westbury Harriers in 13th and first vet 60 was Mike Mewse also of Westbury Harriers in 20th position.
In the women’s race the first 3 women home were all vet 40 with Katie Hughes of Westbury Harriers leading them home in 11th position overall followed by Jane Colman of Bristol & West AC in 23rd and Maria Hobbs of Westbury Harriers in 28th.
The vet 40 prize for the women went to Helen Sawyer of Westbury Harriers in 39th place. The vet 50 prize went to Teresa Oakes of Southville Running Club in 49th and the vet prizes were complete by Marilyn Palmer of Westbury Harriers taking the vet 60 prize in 52nd place.
