After a last-minute change of venue from Stafford Common to Prestwold Hall, Loughborough due to water-logged ground, fewer Westbury Harriers made it to the Midland Cross Country Championships than in previous years, but that didn’t keep our juniors from still bringing home some well-deserved silverware.

Ellie Hobbs took gold in the U15 girls event, while older sister Hannah Hobbs secured silver in the U17 race. Hannah’s teammates, Rosie Allen and Sophie Reed, also finished well, bringing home the U17 women’s team bronze.

There was a great turn-out among the junior boys too, who battled biting cold winds to race well in sticky conditions.
